Made in Japan Outerwear

MIJ ‘93 Jacket, and ‘93 Hi-Top Pant in Snow

There’s a million reasons to make things as close to where you sell them as possible. We can, (and have) gone on and on about why we make our gear here in the USA. Then, where do these made in Japan garments fit into the picture?

We’ve had fans in Japan who’ve been in love with our clothing since day one. For many, and always evolving reasons, it’s increasingly difficult for us to sell our goods in Japan. In the meantime though, we’ve got a lot of friends there, including some that have a great relationship with an amazing outerwear factory in Japan.

It’s grown into a very cool and unique setup where we’re able to make clothing in Japan, for the Japanese market. It helps make our gear more accessible for Japanese customers, keeps the manufacturing right in their backyard.

Even better, in Japan we’re able to build our designs in the kind of technical constructions that we don’t do here. Our made in Japan outerwear utilizes technical, 3-layer laminated fabrics with full seam taping. Same classic look, but with more tech under the hood.

We just have a handful of these garments available, and won’t be restocking these ‘til next year. Top quality fabrics and construction, light weight, and all ‘round amazing garments.
